Terms of Service
Last updated November 2, 2026
These terms cover your use of Dirt Road Financial, including Tractor & Till and our business and personal books. By creating a login, you agree to them. They're written to be read; if anything is unclear, email support@dirtroadfinancial.com.
We're in testing
Dirt Road Financial is new and still being tested. Features may change, move or be removed, and some things may not work right yet. Please keep your own copies of anything important. You can print or export your books at any time.
Your account
- Give us a real email and keep your password and two-step sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your login.
- You must be 18 or older.
- When you share a book, the people you share it with can see, or change, what your chosen access level allows. You can change or end their access at any time.
Your information is yours
You own what you put in your books. We use it only to run the service for you, as our Privacy page describes. We don't sell it.
Tester codes and access
- Tester codes give access to one product each, for as long as the code says or until we end the test. They're for the person they were given to; please don't share or sell them.
- If your access to a product ends, its books become read-only: you can still open, print and export everything, but not add or change anything.
- Testers will be offered the service at a reduced price when paid plans start. Those plans and prices will be shown before anyone is charged, and nobody is charged without agreeing first.
Not financial, tax or legal advice
Dirt Road Financial is a bookkeeping tool. Its totals, reports, budgets and suggestions are to help you keep track, not professional advice. The tax estimate is an estimate from the numbers you give it. It leaves things out, as its page explains, and it isn't a tax return. You're responsible for your own tax returns, filings and financial decisions. Check anything important with a tax preparer, accountant or attorney.
Use it fairly
Don't use Dirt Road Financial for anything illegal, to get into other people's accounts or books, to break or overload the service, or to copy it. We may suspend an account that does, after telling you why when we can.
No guarantees
The service is provided as it is, while it's being tested. We work to keep it accurate, available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or never lose data.
Limits on what we owe
To the extent the law allows, Dirt Road Financial isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost profits, tax penalties or interest, from using the service or relying on its numbers. During testing, while the service is free, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to $100.
Ending your account
You can stop using Dirt Road Financial any time, and email support@dirtroadfinancial.com to have your account deleted. We may end the test or the service; if we do, we'll give you notice and time to export your books.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before any change that matters takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
